Our Story

Gabriela Zarate-Sweet was collecting long before she ever considered creating. In every city she passed through, she found herself drawn to the same places: dimly lit antique jewelry shops, crowded thrift stores, museum vitrines holding objects shaped by hands a century before her own. She was never searching for something specific. What called to her were pieces already imbued with life—objects made slowly, deliberately, and meant to endure.

That sensibility became the foundation of her work. In Argentina, she began designing with an instinct for transformation: shoes adorned with stones and intricate embroidery, handbags and jackets composed of hand-sewn appliqués, found objects reimagined through paint and gesture. Everything she touched became something else—more personal, more singular, more hers. At the same time, she quietly developed a practice in fine jewelry, crafting each piece by hand and sharing it with a small circle of clients who understood its value—not in rarity alone, but in its irreproducibility.

Reliquias de Corazón emerges from this continuum. It is not a studio, nor a collection in any conventional sense, but an extension of a lifelong way of seeing and making. Gabriela begins with what already carries beauty and memory, and reshapes it into something intimate and deeply personal. Each piece is one of one—not by intention, but by nature. Because what is made from the heart cannot be replicated, and the heart, in all its quiet complexity, never repeats itself.
